Part-time Cafe Bar Assistant

Congress Centre

Congress Centre is the operating name used by the TUC to market the wide range of conference and meeting facilities in Congress House, the central London location of the TUC. The venue includes a self-contained hall seating up to 500 people with high technical in-house presentation facilities, seventeen meeting rooms, a further three off site and a cafe bar serving breakfast and lunch daily.

Part-time Cafe Bar Assistant (Job Ref: MSAD/69/09)

Salary £19,523 (pro rata) per annum, rising incrementally to £19,841 (pro rata) per annum, including LW

20 Hours (11.00am - 3.00pm, Monday to Friday)

Fixed Term for 2 Years

Based in Congress Centre, Congress House WC1B 3LS

The post holder will assist with all the set-up and service of the Cafe Bar, maintaining a high standard of service and hygiene. This will include clearing and cleaning tables, working areas, equipment, flooring and utensils. In addition, the successful candidate will need to demonstrate:

• Ability to work well as part of a team

• Customer service experience

• Understanding of Food Safety Standards

• Experience of handling cash
