This new, exciting and challenging vacancy is the result of a successful 3 year funding application through the Northern Rock Foundation. Victim Support and the LGBT DV/DA Steering Group now seek to recruit an individual into the post of Regional LGBT DV/DA Services Development Worker.

You will be responsible for:

Developing equitable service provision for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) people, who are in, or are affected by domestic abuse (DA) situations

Seeking to reduce the impact of DA on victims and their families

Ensuring that no-one who is LGB or T and a victim of DA is excluded from appropriate support, information and advice services

 

You must have previous knowledge of domestic abuse work; working knowledge of LGBT issues and support work; experience of training development and delivery; experience of gathering, analysing and using monitoring information to improve performance.

A proven ability to communicate effectively, build and sustain working relationships and to think and plan both strategically and operationally is essential.
