Sessional Male Freelance Groupworker
Who identifies as a person of African or Caribbean origin & living with HIV.
Days: 2 Sunday Sessions per Month
Salary: 140.00 per 3.5 hour session
Background Information
The PACE HIV Prevention Team promotes & delivers a programme of therapeutic group work interventions to gay & bisexual men in London most at risk of HIV infection, to support and maintain behavioural changes to reduce the likelihood of infection.
Purpose of Job
As part of a multi disciplinary freelance team the post holder will be responsible for designing, conducting & evaluating workshops & groups for African/Caribbean gay/bi men and for men living with HIV, in line with the requirements of PACE contracts with Pan London HIV Prevention Partnership (PLHPP)
The workshops will include the exploration of such issues as HIV prevention, sexuality, safer sex, assertion, negotiation skills, self-esteem, & relationship skills.
